Curlers Care bonspiels provide you and your club facility with an excellent opportunity to show your support, respect, honour and gratitude to the men and women in the Canadian Armed Forces; our EMS workers; and their families.

We hope you will take a moment to explore the information links below that will assist you in running your own club event(s).

It all began back in…

  • …March of 2015, when the Parry Sound Curling Club in Ontario hosted the first annual Curlers Care 2-4 Support Our Troops Bonspiel. The unique 2-4 (two-four) format attracted 48 teams and raised nearly $10,000 for the Military Families Fund of the Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services.
The second annual bonspiel in Parry Sound was held in March of 2016 and raised $14,000 for the CFMWS.

  • With the support of Danny Lamoureux at Curling Canada, the Ottawa Curling Club held a 2-4 Spiel, Ottawa style, during the 2016 Brier championship in Ottawa. A powerful statement was made that curlers care for the morale and welfare of the members of the CAF and their families.

  • Other curling clubs in Ontario, Saskatchewan, and Alberta have since hosted a Curlers Care 2-4 Support Our Troops Bonspiel.

  • The Support Our Troops Fund is the official program providing financial support and assistance to Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members, veterans, and their respective families. It is funded through individual and corporate donations, proceeds from third party events and Yellow Ribbon merchandise, plus contributions by external organizations.
